On Saturday, October 22nd, Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey will partner with Mt. Holly’s Neighborhood Preservation Program to host our signature neighborhood repair and clean-up event, Rock the Block!
Over the last year, Habitat SCNJ has worked collaboratively with Mt. Holly Neighborhood Preservation Program to bring seven home repairs to local residents. Now, we’re looking to make a big impact by repairing 10 homes in just one day!
We need over 100 volunteers to care for our neighbors by clearing debris, beautifying exteriors, removing overgrown brush, mulching, painting, and much more. No skills are necessary to lend a helping hand – each project will be led by a Habitat staff or volunteer who will guide you. Bring a group or just yourself, every little bit helps!
How to sign up:
We have plans to complete 10 restorative and beautifying projects in just one day, and we provide them at no cost to neighbors who need a helping hand. You can sponsor a house, a clean-up project, the meals we provide to volunteers, or even the resource fair! See the flyer attached for more information.
From 12:00-4:00pm, community members can peruse tables set up by community organizations and local businesses that will provide information on resources and services. Activities for kids of all ages will be available at the resource fair, including rock decorating, face painting, and a basketball challenge.
Vendors include Burlington County Library, Engage Church, ASPIRE Youth, The Mental Mediator, and more!
