This October, Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey will partner with Benebone again to host a neighborhood repair and clean-up event called Rock the Block for a second year in a row!
Benebone has generously stepped forward again to sponsor the construction of our new single-family home, with the groundbreaking set to take place the morning of. Their commitment to supporting the community doesn’t stop there. In addition to sponsoring the home build, Benebone is dedicated to making a broader, lasting impact on the entire neighborhood. To achieve this, they are hosting the ‘Rock the Block’ event, a community-wide initiative designed to uplift and revitalize the area beyond just the one home being built. This event will bring neighbors together, strengthen bonds, and focus on enhancing the overall well-being of the community through shared activities, improvements, and a renewed sense of unity. Benebone’s involvement highlights their dedication to not just building a house, but helping to foster a stronger, more vibrant neighborhood for all!
Groundbreaking Ceremony 10:30am-11:30
Join Habitat for Humanity and Benebone as we break ground on our future single-family home at 54 Murray St. The event will feature exciting details about the upcoming project, information on how to apply for homeownership, and remarks from our sponsor, Benebone, along with local elected officials.
Volunteers : 11:30am – 3:30pm
At Rock the Block, we anticipate 100 individuals – Benebone employees, township employees, members of the community, and loyal Habitat volunteers – to come out and care for their neighbors. Volunteers will complete home preservation projects like clearing away debris, removing overgrown brush, mulching and landscaping, painting, mending fences, and fixing porches. No skills are necessary to lend a helping hand. Each project will be led by a Habitat staff or skilled volunteer.
Habitat for Humanity and Benebone partnership!
Rock the Block in Trenton has been made possible thanks to major contributions from Benebone and its employees. The company is celebrating 10 years of providing dogs with high-quality, durable chews by ensuring that community members have homes that are places of safety, comfort and positive well-being for humans and pets alike. Since 2021, Benebone has put much of their time, care, and contributions into Mercer County, working alongside Habitat SCNJ to bring new affordable homeownership opportunities to local families in need. The team at Benebone has taken their commitment to affordable, sustainable housing and communities even further by sponsoring and volunteering at their 2nd annual Rock the Block and financing their 3rd new construction build!
